Pool of Tears

This is because weeping (for His sake) is a great favour from Allāh Most
High. That the world is full of evil, corruption, trials and tribulations is
the consequence of the weepers leaving this world. Each teardrop is
equivalent to an ocean which is capable of washing away all these trials and tribulations with it. How this can be possible is exemplified by the
following:
Someone once wrote to Shaykh  regarding a dream that he had seen.
He wrote that he dreamt that Shaykh  was sitting cross-legged, as was
his habit, and in front of him was an expanse of gathered water, like a pool
or stream. The water had a beautiful and strange light, a glow and radiance
emitting from it, spreading in all directions. Somebody asked the person
who had the dream, “Do you know what this is?” He asked, “What is it? I
don’t know.” Then the one who asked this question replied himself (in the
dream). “This gathered water represents tears that Shaykh  has shed for
the Muslims of India and the light and glow is because of it.”
Shaykh  wept so much, especially during the time of the partition
of India. Shaykh Inʿāmullāh  who used to be with Shaykh Zakariyyā 
in Saharanpur once mentioned that during the partition, when killing
and looting was widespread, we would observe Shaykh  spending entire
nights standing in prayer. He indicated with his hands how Shaykh’s 
feet used to get swollen up like that of an elephant’s. He further states that
during that time he did not sleep for many nights.
It is a result of the weeping of these people that up till today, due
to the blessings of Allāh, the teachings of the Qur’ān and the Sunna are
established, and the sound of the adhān continues to be heard from the
mosques.
It is for this reason that Shaykh  said to the child, “Dear child, as
there are no more weepers left in this world you might as well weep.” Also,
just as Shaykh  mentioned in regards to weeping, likewise all the other
similar blessings, one after the other, continue to diminish.

“The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”

The Prophet (peace be upon him)
