Shaykh R.A at the Blessed Feet of the prophet SAW

Just as we witnessed Shaykh  weeping profusely by the Multazam,
similarly he would cry abundantly in the Masjid Nabawī. As one enters
from the old Gate of Jibrīl , there is a blessed window slightly
towards the left hand side near the roof covering, directly in line with the
blessed body and blessed feet of the Prophet . We used to place a prayer mat directly in front of this window for Shaykh  at a special place
designated for him. During that time, all the guards and police that were
there knew that Shaykh  was a great spiritual scholar and knew that
his students would come and place a cloth or a prayer mat for him – and
they never forbade it. We would seat Shaykh  there, and he would sit
and cry for hours. May Allāh also grant us the ability to cry like our elders
and the Prophet . May Allāh also soften our hearts which have
become hard and solid like stones and rocks, and may Allāh eradicate this
hardness.
