A Prophecy in “O Young One!”

Umm Ḥabība’s  nikāḥ to the Noble Prophet  was solemnised
by Najāshī. Thereafter, Najāshī (Negus) himself gave her the dower on behalf
of the Noble Prophet . He gave her a large amount of gold as a gift.
Umm Ḥabība  herself says, “When I received the gold, out of happiness
firstly I sent, as a gift, fifty mithqāl (a weight) of gold to the slave girl who
conveyed to me the Prophet’s  proposal of marriage, because she
was the one who had brought me the good news of the Prophet’s 
proposal.” Umm Ḥabība  relates that she sent her fifty mithqāl of

”.I have followed the religion of Muḥammad  – محمد صلی الله علیه وسلم
She had done so due to observing Najāshī (Negus) always talking about
the Prophet . He was a great King of Africa and hearing such a
person always talk about the Prophet  influenced her to become a
Muslim. If only our houses were alight at all times with the remembrance
of the Noble Prophet , his sunnas and his shining beauty.
So the slave girl said, “اتبعت دین محمد صلی الله علیه وسلم – I have followed the
religion of Muḥammad ,” and thereafter requested Umm Ḥabība

وانی علی Give my salāms to the Prophet  and convey a message that
I have accepted your faith and I believe in your religion. May Allāh – دینک
give us the ability to perform such deeds that when they are presented to
the Prophet  in his blessed grave, he is happy with us and we do
not become the source of causing distress to our Prophet  in his
blessed grave.
May Allāh give us the ability to value these blessed moments that
remain. We have been unable to perform iʿtikāf of the entire blessed month;
however, the last ten days are about to start. May Allāh give us the ability
to fulfil this sunna (of iʿtikāf) and give us the ability to follow the Prophet’s
 exemplary personality by keeping our attention and sight fixed
on him every second, every minute and every moment.
