We should reflect upon these blessed moments of Ramaḍān. As I mentioned
earlier regarding those who are at the Multazam, they should ponder and
think to themselves: ‘The place where I am standing, the Leader of Both
Worlds , the Renowned Master also stood here many
centuries ago. His blessed feet also touched the place where I am performing
ṣalāh near the Maqām Ibrāhīm (Station of Ibrāhīm). His blessed feet also
touched the maṭāf (the courtyard around the Kaʿba) where I am walking
with my dirty, impure feet.’
Just as one ponders after seeing, during visits to these holy and blessed
places, that these are the very places touched by the Noble Prophet
, in the same manner we sinners, who are unfortunate and have
not been blessed with visiting these holy places, should think about:
یوم الفرقان یوم التقی الجمعان
(…on the decisive day, the day when the two forces encountered each
other [during the Battle of Badr] 8:41). It was in the same blessed month of
Ramaḍān, on this date and on this day. We should address these places and
these blessed moments in the same manner that the poets do (with love
and affection).

“The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
